Important Change in Software
License Terms
Effective
June 1, 2009
Effective June 1st, 2009 for
all Software Licenses issued on that date and subsequently, the Licensing
Term 'perpetual' or 'permanent' shall mean a period of five (5) years from
Software License Activation.
As done currently, Software
Licenses will continue to be issued and Licensed to a particular computer
hardware system, and are intended for the 'useful life' of that computer
system.
'Useful Life' is further
defined to be a period of five (5) years from Software Activation.
After five (5) years the
License will expire. Should you wish to continue to utilize the Software,
you will need to Purchase a License Transfer/Renewal. We recommend that you
reinstall at that time to a new machine, though you may reactivate for an
additional five (5) years on your existing machine should you prefer.
Please note that all customers
with an effective Technical Support Agreement (TSA) receive substantial
discounts on additional seats, license transfers, additional products,
training, etc. If you do not currently have an effective TSA, you may wish
to inquire about cost, discounts, and benefits provided.
