Understanding the Claims Process
At American Integrity, we know that dealing with unexpected events can be overwhelming. That’s why we’re here to guide you through the claims process – to make sure you get the support you need when it matters most.
When Should You File a Claim?
It’s important to know when it makes sense to file a claim and when it might not be necessary. If your home or belongings are damaged due to an event covered by your policy—like a storm, fire, or theft—you’ll want to file a claim as soon as possible to get help with repairs or replacement costs. However, for smaller damages that might cost less than your deductible, it could be beneficial to cover those out of pocket to avoid impacting your claims history.
If you’re unsure whether to file a claim, give us a call, and we’ll walk you through your options.
Steps to Filing a Claim
Filing a claim with American Integrity is quick and simple. Here’s what you need to do:
Document the Damage
Before submitting a claim, take clear photos or videos of the damage. If your home is unlivable, keep receipts for any expenditures you incur – they may be reimbursable if your loss is covered.
Gather Information
Have your policy number and key details about the incident on hand. You will also want to double check your declarations page to ensure that the damage is covered by your policy.
Contact Us
You can file your claim 24/7 by calling 1-866-277-9871 or logging into your online account. If you have tropical storm or hurricane-related damage, please call 844-MYAIIC1 (844-692-4421). We’ll ask for details about what happened and guide you through the next steps. That’s it! After your claim is filed, we’ll take it from there and keep you updated every step of the way.
What to Expect After Filing a Claim
Once you’ve filed a claim, our dedicated claims team will help make the process as smooth and transparent as possible. Here’s what you can expect.
Initial Review
Once your claim is submitted, our team will review the details. We’ll reach out to confirm that we’ve received all the necessary information and ask additional questions, if necessary.
Assignment of an Adjuster
An adjuster will be assigned to your case. They’ll contact you to set up a time to inspect the damage, answer any questions, and guide you through the claims process.
Damage Assessment
The adjuster will visit your property to assess the damage. Be sure to have any documentation, photos, or receipts ready for this step. The more information you can provide, the smoother this part of the process will go.
Approval and Estimate
Once the assessment is complete, we’ll provide an estimate for the repairs or replacement costs. This is when you’ll learn exactly what your policy covers and what your out-of-pocket costs will be.
Repairs or Reimbursement
After the claim is approved, you’ll receive payment to cover the repairs or replacement costs. If needed, we can help recommend trusted contractors to get the job done.
Ongoing Support
Throughout the entire process, we’re here to answer your questions, provide regular updates, and make sure things are moving smoothly. If any unexpected issues arise, just reach out—we’re ready to help.
